At 6:09 am, Wednesday May 2, 2007, the Moon will be full
in the sign of Scorpio. Truth be told, it's not my favorite
time of year because this Full Moon is at a square angle
to my Sun in Leo. In fact all the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo,
and Aquarius will be feeling the Full Moon's vibration
a little more intensely than the other signs. And of course
Scorpio's will be feeling more emotional since this is the
one time of year when the Full Moon will be in their sign.
However, whether you're born under a fixed sign or any
other sign we can get through this period if we flow with
the energy, allow ourselves to be flexible and keep our
minds focused on the good things in life. The negative
side effects of this Full Moon, especially for the fixed signs,
is a lag of energy, feelings of discouragement, and a tendency
to let our minds linger on past events. In a better world we'd
all have the luxury to take a mini vacation and escape
our daily routines. But in the real world many of us will be
putting aside our desires and inner feelings to be responsible
and take care of the things on our “to do” lists. It is advised
that sometime during this Full Moon period, which begins on
Mon. April 30, and ends on Thurs. May 3rd, you purposely set
aside some time to pray, meditate and to do something that
makes you feel good. Since the Full Moon is in a water sign,
it's a good idea to make a spiritual connection with water. Take
a long hot bath, or soak your feet in a basin of water. Tape a
prayer affirmation to your water bottle, i.e. if you need an
emotional lift, write Joy, Joy, Joy! on a piece of paper and
tape it so the words are facing the water. Then as you drink
the water imagine that it's a magical elixir that's filling your
body with joy. In other words be proactive and purposely do
things to use the Full Moon energy to your advantage.
ON THE NEWSFRONT
Full Moon in Scorpio, the sign of passion and desire, usually
brings news about sex crimes, rapes, murders, crimes of
revenge and/or passion. As the news media focuses on the
the most gross events possible (if it bleeds it leads), it's a good
idea to go on a news fast, turn to the comedy channel or watch
sports, or turn the thing off and listen to some good music. The
front runners in the Democratic race for president will both be
effected by the Full Moon in Scorpio, as Obama is a Leo, and
Clinton is a Scorpio. If I was an advisor on their teams, I'd tell
them to take the day off, to rest, regenerate, reflect and pray.
Well, already I've read that Hillary's voice has given out and she
might have to take some time out for healing. There's also another news story building involving Condaleesa Rice, a triple
Scorpio, who's top aide has resigned in a sex scandal. But with
these people you never know what's really going on behind the
scenes, as truth is hard to find in political arenas and in the media. You'll have to read between the lines, trust your intuition
and let your inner guides lead you to the truth. Case in point,
back in the 90's a jogger was raped in Central Park and six
youths were charged and convicted of the crime. At the time
of the event, the Full Moon was in Scorpio. Even though many
of us never believed the lie, it was many years later, after the
children served out their sentences that the real rapist admitted
his crime. As usual the media acted in concert with prosecutors and focused the attention on the accused children while convincing most people that they were guilty months before the
trial. So whatever comes up in the news during this Full Moon period it would be wise to follow the adage: “believe none of what you hear, half of what you see”.
Above all, pace yourself, hydrate and exercise regularly, pray and meditate…this too shall pass as it always will.
Love & Light, Ayesha
